Valentine's day fever

Valentine's day is always the busiest day in a year for florist. This year, the business is really good and we had to work through out the night before the V-day. Without any surprise, hand bouquet inclusive of red roses, chocolates and bears is among the most popular. Bear is a new popular item add in flowers bouquet for recent years.

One of my very favorite V-day special for year 2011 is the old shanghai style couple bear hand bouquet. The couple bear wear cheongsam and we used gold as the theme color to carry out the heritage theme. Inspired by the old shanghai fashion, we also add some lace to enhance the design.

Another cute and fairytale one, a frog prince holding a diamond ring, surrounded with hydrangea and silver butterflies. It tells : "Kiss me please.... and I will turn into your Prince charming!"

I have a deep interest in hand bouquet design, it can be elegance, heritage, cute, romantic, fashionable, seductive, artistic and etc. Truthfully, I really love Valentine's day, it's not only the money making day, but it gives us a lot of space and opportunity to create plenty of variety designs.

Fresh flower vs artificial flower

I aware that artificial flowers are getting popular now a day. Last time, people only buy artificial flowers for house decoration and opening ceremony. But now, artificial hand bouquet become popular too. People not care about the meaning of sending flowers anymore, and girls would not mind to receive artificial flowers from their lover anymore. Some people even use artificial hand bouquet for their wedding. People just concern about to keep for the flowers forever, they claim that fresh flowers die soon and it waste money.

However, I still encourage people to buy fresh flowers, although I sell both artificial and fresh flowers. We only could feel the liveness and nice aroma from fresh flowers, especially flowers like rose and lily, don't they smell nice and make ur day wonderful? I love to see people smell on the flowers when they receive it, I feel that they really know how to appreciate it. We need not keep the flowers forever, even the artificial flowers would become fate one day. However, a good memory would keep in our mind for a long long time and remember the person to give us the sweet memory.

Baby Fullmoon Party Decoration

This time it's a baby boy's fullmoon party, so the theme color definitely would be baby blue! To make it more boyish look, despite of flowers, I chose bear as the main character for the decoration.

Shenzhen Part 2 - Hand Bouquet

There are few flower stores in Chun Feng Street. I found the hand bouquet's design and color composition were quite different with the one we have in Malaysia.
Firstly, they like bright colors. For an example from the picture below, they used cili red, orange and pink as the theme color. Secondly, they rarely use floret like baby breath and peacock in their bouquet. This makes their bouquets look less sweet but fill with chinese passion, like the booming and thriving of the country.




Another bouquet that caught my eyes was the one shown in below, a lotus hand bouquet. I never see this in any other place. It is something special and the meaning of lotus in chinese is 'emerge unstained from filth (出污泥而不染)'.

Sakura In Seberang Jaya

I drive through Seberang Jaya today, there is a row of sakura tree along the road. The flowers bloom every year at this time. I thought of shooting the photo for many times when I passed by and this time I did it! It is very beautiful.

Well, I feel glad and lucky that I can see sakura here in Seberang Jaya. It is very costly travel to Japan for Sakura Festival. Of course, the scenery is far away compared to Japan. Anyway, it is not a bad idea to pass through this road when you feel bored in the lazy afternoon.

Last delivery for 2008

I got a 99 roses hand bouquet order from a guy from Ipoh yesterday. He came once before this, and he wanted to order again for his girlfriend in BM. This guy has tatoos all over his shoulders, and I guess there are many more on his body. I think he is a Loan Shark or somebody like mob. Anyway, he is also a normal human like us who loves and cares. His gf is a singer in a kopitiam in BM. Their job is not only to sing, but they have to entertain the customers to gain their rewards in term of money. Although they gain a lot of money, but their life is sucks, just imagine what kind of people would go to a kopitiam for entertainment, especially looking for girls?

As per request from the guy, we delivered the flowers to the Kopitiam at 10pm. When I reached there, she was not singing yet, I saw her sitting with a group of middle age guys and she was the only girl. I passed the hand bouquet to the counter and requested the counter person to present it to her when she sing on the stage. Then I passed a card with some money in an envolope to her. The sender asked me to write this message in the card: My dear, I hope you could have a new life for this coming new year. Please consider seriously and choose for a better life. Wish you happy new year and health!

I was so touching for these sentences. For many years, I help a lot of people to write their messages, but none of them could touch my heart. It was just a few sentences, but it could change a girl's life. I really hope that she could accept him and let him take care of her, no matter how, it would be better than what she is doing now.

At last, I hope everyone could have a better life and choose to live in a better way in this new year! Kampai for the bright future!

Bears Hand Bouquet

Once, flowers and chocolates are the most popular gift for girls. Bears are popular too, but some worry that it would be too childish for mature age girl.
