Travel Vintage Wedding Decorations - Golden Sands Resort, Penang

Hello! I am back. After a crazy busy months of October and November, finally I manage to squeeze some time to share some photos of my wedding decoration work on October. When I knew the lovely wedding couple wanted 'Travel Vintage' as their wedding theme, I knew that we were going to have lots of fun creating the decorations. 'Travel' has always been my number one interest in life and 'Vintage' is my all time favorite design inspiration, so what else I can ask more when this two things come together?

Classic white roses bridal hand bouquet and corsage.

Small hand bouquet for bride maids, white roses and baby breath.

Little photo corner by the garden.

Love these traveling photos from the couple.

Globe, I love this!

Birdcage and flower decoration on guest registration table.

Chair sash flowers, theme color of the day - pink, white and champagne.

Customized hot air balloon, it suppose to be placed on the tidbits corner outside the ball room, but the wind was too strong that evening, so we decided to moved it indoor.

Flower stands along the aisle.

And me, said cheers at the photo booth after completion of the task! I like my very first handmade signage, place it at my shop's window now. Haha!
I create some handmade photo booth props, hot air balloon and airplane specially for the travel vintage theme.

Traditional chinese wedding dinner decoration at Tian Tian Restaurant, Raja Uda, Butterworth

I am so excited to share about this gorgeous traditional chinese wedding dinner, there is very rare of chance to have full fresh flowers wedding decoration in Butterworth, especially in a chinese restaurant. An ordinary chinese restaurant can be looked very classy and chic after some makeover. To suit the oriental atmosphere of the chinese restaurant, the bride Alyssa and I had come to a conclusion to chose red as the main theme color. However, there were already too many existing red in the restaurant, the color had to be tone down with some light pink color.

Chic main table center piece, 3 round posies on top of 3 round glasses with different height. The ivy in the glasses filled with water add a very unique, romantic and dreamy touch to the centerpiece.

Flower arch decorated with some willows, fresh flowers and ivy.

Red chinese paper lantern along the aisle.

Reception table bouquet and petals.

Flowers of the day -- red roses, pink hydrangea, pink eustoma and pink button pompom.

Main table bouquet and the stage, match perfectly.

The original backdrop was red color clothes. we covered it with some white thin clothes and dressed up with some fairy lights. The stage had became bright, elegance and sleek.

Classic and Simple Garden Wedding at E&O Hotel, Penang

Hello peeps, It has been a while I did not update my blog. Today i would like to share a simple and classic garden wedding decoration. I have always like to create retro and classic wedding theme, and so glad that I got this job. I just could not get bored of doing it again, again and again.

A simple white and red roses bridal bouquet. Green foliage, lace and satin ribbon as the embellishment.

Oval table center piece. I always love to add some white orchids on my flower arrangement, it is so elegant and  always blend well with roses and eustoma.

Pastel rose petals in handmade paper cone.

Instead of organza, I used satin for the gazebo. Satin is so coordinating with red and white color flowers to create the classic and retro look.

Gold, red and cream - the perfect palette to make the guest say "wow!"

Gazebo is ready for the wedding ceremony, so now where is the couple?

Mariage de Fuchsia - Garden Wedding at Holiday Inn, Batu Ferringgi

A french couple garden wedding held in Batu Ferringgi. The wedding theme color is fuchsia, which is the favorite color for most ladies. They wanted the wedding decoration to be vibrant, natural and sweet, so here are the end result.

Roses, hydrangea and orchids in different tone in pink and fuchsia.

Bamboo Gazebo, our first built in-situ structural.

The color stand out so brightly on the green green grass.

Close-up  for guest table bouquet, the couple had their wedding reception in the garden. God bless, the weather was extremely good!

Lace ribbon been decorated for bride groom's corsage. French is famous for their lace, don't they?

Champagne eustoma and white roses for the bridal bouquet.

Eat, pray, love in Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai

Chiangmai is one of the destinations in our vacation list. Since hubby and I never been to northern Thailand and it was a long time we never been to Thailand, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai had been pinned down.

Though we could find good thai restaurant easily in Malaysia, but we really missed the authentic street thai food, you know it if you ever been to Bangkok, one of the best street food city in the world.  It is surprisingly to find that northern thai food is not quite similar to what we have expected, it is more creamy, sweeter, less spicy, less sour, more meat and less vegetable.

Mango with sticky rice, coconut milk makes the taste richer, love it!
The famous northern thai food, khao soi with some pickles. To a penangite like me, it is more like a thai version curry mee.
Thai version kueh chap, soup taste sweeter and more stuff like fish balls, deep fried pork slices, tau kuah (dry bean curd), hard boiled egg and some pig offal.

Chicken fried with thai basil, do not miss dishes fried with thai basil when u come to thailand, you will definitely want another bowl of rice.

Like most tourist, we spent the night at weekend night market in Chiangmai, which selling everything from clothes, wood craft, handmade stuffs, food to street music. But do not miss the morning market too, it can be a little crowded, but it provide opportunity to mingle with local people.

Exotic insects serve as snack,  commonly eaten in Thailand. Tried this once on my first trip to Bangkok in year 2000, but not this time. I am not young and dangerous anymore to put everything in my mouth. LOL!
Aromatic pandan leaves folded into flower.
Fresh white lotus spotted! Holy and sacred!
Jasmine on ice, a good way to preserve flowers in such a hot weather.

Instead of elephant riding, we went to tiger kingdom, less energy exhausted and more relax. We just bought the lunch buffet, watching the tigers while having our lunch. I was too coward to be up close and personal with tigers after watching the movie 'Life of Pi".

Lunch area was close enough to capture this picture of tiger. Oh my Richard Parker!

Another relaxing tour, village of the famous long neck tribe, not far away from the tiger kingdom.
Lovely cottage at the entrance.

Hubby playing with the handmade bow and arrow in the village.

Cottage by the paddy field, sometimes the simplest life is the life that closest to heaven.

A long neck woman was playing a guitar while a baby sitting on her laps.

A man riding on an elephant down from hill. Here, elephants being used as transportation.

Like other places in Thailand, Chiangmai and Chiangrai have huge range of buddhist temples. One temple that could not be missed - Wat Rong Kun, the white colour contemporary unconventional Buddhist temple.

Yen and Reika's Wedding decorations at Hard Rock Hotel, Penang

Congratulations to Yen and Reika! Both of you were just too gorgeous on the wedding day! Nonetheless, it was a big day for the sisters too, it had been years we did not have such a big gathering.
Dining, dancing, chit-chat and yam seng for all night long, what a wonderful event we had!

I felt so happy and glad that I can do the wedding flowers decoration for my good friend, something so meaningful between our friendship. Reika, welcome to our big 'family'!

Blue sky greeted the wedding couple, bamboo stands along the red carpet awaiting for the bride and groom.

Wedding vow under the mini gazebo.
Calla lilies, flowers of the day!

Penang style tidbits corner, Penang's famous tau sar pheah and some nyoya kuih. Table flowers decorated with tropical theme, orchids, papaya leaves and lime.

Reception table bouquet, it was so thoughtful of the couple to choose The Beatle's as the photo booth background.
Extra big flower decorations on the stage.
And the sisters cheers for the loving wedding couple! Wish both of you live happily ever and after......
