Shopping in Japan

Japan is a shopping paradise where every fashionista covets make pilgrimages to. Most people may think Japan is one of the world's most expensive country, but perhaps it is not as notorious as it once was. The fact is, it is cheaper to travel and shopping in Japan then some countries in Europe. There are wide range of choices, from budget flea market, middle range shops to top end houses of haute couture. It would not burn your pocket if you shop wisely, and you will get many goodies from small boutiques.

Harajuku is my favorite place for shopping in Tokyo, it is so trendy and spendy. Name any brand you want, Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Gap, Zara, Forever 21.... ect.. There are also small designer's boutiques and second hand shops. For other places in Tokyo, do not miss out the flagship stores, Uniqlo in Ginza and Muji in Marunouchi, but there are branches all over Tokyo. I get many T-shirts for myself and gifts for my brothers from Uniqlo.

Louis Vuitton, Harajuku

Sapporo was nothing compare to Tokyo for shopping, but there was a Kinokuniya book store near JR Sapporo Station. We spent an entire lovely evening there, while snowing outside. A small cafe at 2nd floor served smooth coffee, nice cakes and sanwiches. Kinokuniya has all branches all over Japan too.

I bought some scrapbook making books, scrapbooking is my new hobby and I was so happy to find these books. I get so many ideas and inspirations from these book.

X'mas Holiday

I went to Singapore again for my X'mas holiday. Each time I go to Sg, my dear would bring me to somewhere special. This time he brought me to an Italian Restaurant in Dempsy Hill, La Forketta. The environment and food was good, but I did not like the service of the restaurant. The waitress who serve us was not well trained, she couldn't give a good recommendation on their food. However, this could not spoil our mood, because we seldom have time to pak tor in such a romantic environment.

My main activity in this holiday was shopping, shopping and shopping. I got sponsor from my dear for this x'mas sales as he got nothing for me as x'mas gift. LOL! Thus, I shop until drop! Anyway, I only spend about half of the budget. That means I still have another half for my next shopping trip in Sg. Thanks my dear!

In this shopping trip, I found that shopping in Raffles City Shopping Centre is more convenient, as Orchard is too big. I only managed to shop in few shops in Orchard: Zara, MNG, Tang and some shops in Far East Square, and that took me one day. I had no time for Paragon and Takashimaya. While City Raffles Shopping Centre has more shops concertrated, like Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Guess, River Island, Robinsons, Mark & Spencer and many more. In additionnal, it is very easily reached, as it is directly link to City Hall MRT Station. I would definately go there again next time.

Shoes

It's year end again, people tend to have many dinners and parties to be attended. Time to get some party shoes and clothes.

I seldom buy myself shoes that only can be worn for dinner or party, I would prefer something that looks elegance and classy but wouldn't be awkward for shopping or works. It's waste to buy shoes that can be worn for few times only. Some shoes are even have a chance to be worn for one time only, as it's hardly be matched with clothes. Although we can get black, beige or white shoes that easily to match, but wouldn't it be too bored? Sometimes we should get some other colors shoes, it would make your feet look great and make you look more lively!

I just got myself 3 pairs of wedges from Vincci last few days.

These indigo wedges are for dinners and parties, but look good for normal occassions too. I love the color, very unique.

Crystals stud on the shoe strap make your feet looks 'bling bling!' . Although it's only 2 inches high, but it won't make you look too casual. Highly recommended for shopping!

Purple wedges look good when match with black or dark purple clothes. The design of straps that cover to ankle is the most popular of the season. You may find a lot of these design in shoes stores. It matches well with skinny jeans.
