It's Xmas & New Year again......

It's Xmas and new year season again, and everybody is in holiday mood. How I wish I could have the holiday mood too. For me, this is the busiest season in a year, and it will continue until Valentine's day to the climax.

From years of experience, I learn to prepare 1 or 2 months ahead before the event. It would be really busy after January. I mean really busy, both Valentine's day and Chinese new year come together. Now, I have finish most of my new design work task for both event, and waiting for my web designer to upload the photos to my web page. Hopefully everything can be done before the new year.

Meanwhile, I will have a short holiday during the Xmas, and take this precious time to recharge.

So, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone!

My new toy iphone 4

After waiting for almost a month, eventually I got my iphone 4 2 weeks ago. This is truly a new gadget for me, as I haven't use any apple products before. I didn't catch up with iphone 3 when it was first launched in Malaysia, as hubby have just bought a new Nokia hand phone for me from Singapore.

BIL has an iphone 3G with him and he plays with many of the applications, especially the hot games like Angry Bird. He plays with his iphone whenever and wherever, lol! It's good to have him teach me how to fully utilize it. I am not so keen about games, but already addicted to application like youtube, itunes, news and photo edit. In additional, I get alert whenever new order coming in from my florist website. Hubby downloaded few of my favorite songs for me, and I just couldn't stop playing it again and again. Surely, I will be more rely on my new gadget when I go more familiar. I guess ibooks will be the next application I will addict to, but ipad would be a better device for ibook. So, should I get an ipad soon? lol!!!

Shanghai World Expo 2010 - Luxembourg Pavilion

Luxembourg Pavilion is very unique among pavilion in euro zone, it's made of rusty steel plate. The building is simple and small, but perfectly formed and beautiful as well as the country is. In the view of artistic, I will give this architecture a glorification.

A golden diva statue outside the entrance of the pavilion.

A small garden on top of the roof, from here we could see the Italy and UK Pavilion clearly.

A corner of the interior, displaying their visions and goals.

Shanghai World Expo 2010 - Tunisia Pavilion

Tunisia Pavilion is another nice one to visit other than those with long queue. It doesn't look attractive from outside, but the contents are quite rich and interesting.

Tunisia's hand craft human portrait.

Some building detail influence by Islamic architecture.

A reward token to Tunisia Pavilion for hi-tech presentation on people, culture, geography and economy of the country.

Shanghai World Expo 2010 - Peru Pavilion

Hubby and I went to visit a friend in Shanghai during the hari raya long weekend. We spend a day in world expo since we have free daily ticket. Due to time constraint, we decided not to visit those pavillions with long queue, like Saudi Arabia, Japan, Korea, Italy, England, German...ect.. Peru pavillion is one of my favorite.

We had our lunch at the pavillion. Peru's seafood rice and pork dish.

Peru local bear and cocktail.

Eat Pray Love

Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert is really hot among women in early thirties recently. I found that many of my friends read this book. From the title of the book, we know it is all about Eat(in Italy), Pray(on India) and Love(in Bali).

Frankly I have not finish the book yet. But there is a chapter she wrote about Depression and Loneliness that really touch the bottom of my heart. I know the sorrow she wrote about and it similarly happened to me a few years ago before I met my husband. In the chapter, she asked why she ruin her marriage, why she messed up things with her boyfriend, where she was the night she turn thirty and why things have gone sour since then, why she is not at home living in a nice house and raising nice children like any respectable woman her age should be, where she will end up in her old age if she keeps living this way.....

I was lucky that I did not face as much problem as she faced, and I was in my late twenties that time. I am glad that I have my dad and some friends who help me to get through these. I learn to appreciate things around me and I thank God who always stay with me and let me met with my husband (who brought me back to the happiness life that I think I deserve for). I am totally out of the sorrow now, and I look things differently since then.

I pray to God for those in suffering, please help them towards the path of sunshine.

Short weekend at Langkawi

Hubby brought me to Langkawi for a short weekend in July eventually. August would be the raining season in Langkawi.

We stayed in The Lanai Beach Resort, which is located at the end of Pantai Tengah. The resort is at a nice location, by a white clean beach and away from a busy stretch of restaurant. In the short stay in Langkawi, we spent most of our time sunbathing, swimming and doing nothing. Truthfully, I never experience such a rest and relax holiday in my life. I just gonna do it again soon.

Oh, of course hubby and I would never miss out any delicacies anywhere in the world. We tasted ikan bakar at Kuah, chinese seafood at Pantai Cenang, italian food in a warung operate by a foreigner and nasi kampung melayu in a malay restaurant near Lanai Resort. All the food tasted above average and the price was fair.

No honeymoon yet

Due to several reasons, initially hubby and I planned to have our honeymoon in September. It's six months after our wedding. Our honeymoon target is Santorini in Greece, one of a very famous place for honeymoon. But now, it seems like our plan has to prospone again to next year, cos hubby is dealling with some projects. He is now on is own company, so his time schedule is not as flexible as last time.
Well, sometimes we only have to choose between one, career or life. For now, we have no choice but to choose career first, by hopefully it will bring a greater life in the near future.

My garden wedding decoration at E&O Hotel, Penang

I remember the first time I went to E&O Hotel when I was 10, I had my 1st grade piano practical examination there. Although It was before the restoration and I was nervous of my exam on that time, but these didn't ignore me for admiring the beauty of the heritage. No doubt, It become more magnificient after the restoration. I have always been interested in vintage things, so I chose E&O hotel for my wedding.

I had my wedding vow at the Verandah Garden. Our garden decorations were fairy tale and vintage inspired. There were white calla lilies, white roses, white lisianthus, white orchids and green leaves every where.
The wedding cake was in white sugar paste, decorated with some fresh white lisianthus and orchids.

My bridesmaids each dressed in green skirt and holding a small posy of flower. Well, don't they looked like tinkle bells!

Bridegroom and best men were in simple white shirt and black suit. They were all so gorgeous!

For myself, I wore a self-design satin wedding gown, it was simple and elegant, thanks to Auntie May who made this for me. Inspired by the Greek goddess, my make-over artist, Anderson Chu set a messy side braid hairstyle for me. And I really like it so much!

I need a long long vacation!!!!

It's been a long time since 6 months ago I went for a long vacation. After 2 months of my wedding, I start to itchy again for vacation. But hubby is starting busy with his work again and no time for that. Futhermore, he cannot bear to have more holiday, since we will go for our honey on September for about 2 weeks, his boss would start to make some noise if he take more holiday.

I start to think of travelling alone, or maybe find a couple of friends to travel? But, who would be so free to bother me at this time? Oh God! I really need a long long vacation, better get a plan for myself before i fall in depress. lol!

Fresh flower vs artificial flower

I aware that artificial flowers are getting popular now a day. Last time, people only buy artificial flowers for house decoration and opening ceremony. But now, artificial hand bouquet become popular too. People not care about the meaning of sending flowers anymore, and girls would not mind to receive artificial flowers from their lover anymore. Some people even use artificial hand bouquet for their wedding. People just concern about to keep for the flowers forever, they claim that fresh flowers die soon and it waste money.

However, I still encourage people to buy fresh flowers, although I sell both artificial and fresh flowers. We only could feel the liveness and nice aroma from fresh flowers, especially flowers like rose and lily, don't they smell nice and make ur day wonderful? I love to see people smell on the flowers when they receive it, I feel that they really know how to appreciate it. We need not keep the flowers forever, even the artificial flowers would become fate one day. However, a good memory would keep in our mind for a long long time and remember the person to give us the sweet memory.

Hiring new staff

Finally, I made up my mind to buy a second hand van, and I had it last week. The van condition is still good and need not much money to repair, thanks to dad for the effort to search for the van from one second hand car shop to another. We almost dropped by all the second hand car shops at Sungai Dua and Bagan Ajam.

Next, I hire a runner to do the delivery and collect payment. The runner was previously the owner of the bakery next door to us. I was so lucky that he agreed to work for me. It's not so easy to find good employee now a day. Today is his 3rd day working with us, and things run quite smooth. Let's see if I can be more relax in future, I really wish to have more time to work and study in finance. Wish me luck that the runner can work longer.

Back Back Back

I finally blog all my hong Kong trip, it took me nearly half a year.... :P. I wish after all my wedding, house renovation and Valentine's day have past, I could start to write my blog again. At least once a week, to make a record of my life, work and hobbies.

Hong Kong Trip - 5th day

After a 2 days 1 day short trip in Macau, we were back to Hong Kong. We didn't do much thing on that day, except eating and shopping.

We took a ride on tram.

And, hey it was a extra for us to bump into a Hong Kong super star Miriam Yeung on a Nike product launching somewhere in central district.

Classical street food in Hong Kong, milk tea, shark fin soup and curry fish ball.

Our last meal in Hong Kong in airport, BBQ meat rice.

Macau Trip - 4th Day

We went to Macau for a day. Again I was having seasick on the ferry, the worst thing was the weather too hot and the crowd really make me sick. I did not enjoy much at the tourism places, but luckily still managed to have a lot of fun in casinos and food.

Pork chop Burger.

Crab porridge.

Prawn eggs noodle.

Portuguese egg tart from the famous Margaret's Cafe, this was the most delicious egg tart I ever had.
.

Hong Kong Trip - 3rd day

We went to the Lamma Island on the 3rd day, I was so excited that I could escape from the hectic Hong Kong city. However, it wasn't a smooth journey as I had seasick. The waves are too strong.

My pale face upon arriving in Lamma Island.

However I had my appetite back after a walk around the Lamma Island. And this was our delicious Che Cai Noodle '车仔面’, it really tasted good.... yummy...

A photo took at Hong Kong Chai.

We had our luxury afternoon tea at renowned Jumbo floating restaurant at Aberdeen Harbour. Actually the price was not too expensive, but a lot of well known people had been visited this place, included Queen Elizabeth II. It's our pleasure to have afternoon tea here.

It was a bit weird to have dim sum at this hour, but we were casual on this trip and the dim sum taste really not bad.

Hong Kong Trip -2nd Day

It was a plenitude day, that we went to Lantau Island for the Po Lin Monastery, Causewaybay, Victoria Peak for the million dollar Hong Kong's night view, and a walk at night market at Miu Kai.

You need to climb on hundred steps to take a photo like this.

A photo of me at causeway bay.

Live band which sing classical old songs. I was so surprise to see the oldman dancing with the singer, that I saw him before in a TV program which introducing tourism in Hong Kong.

I am not so good in taking photograph, this is the best night view photo I took from The Peak.

Hong Kong Trip - 1st Day II

We continue our journey after lunch at Mong Kok. We started at gold fish market, flower market and then bird's market. Nonetheless, we spent most of our time in flowers market. I was so attracted by the variety and modern arrangement of flowers.
Gold fish market.

Flower market.
Pink peony. This is the first time I see real peony, I love it so much. Peony could be my favorite main flower in my flower arrangement if I could find it easily in Penang.

Special flowers species imported from Australia.

Lovely mix color roses, I believe this is a new species. Hope can see you soon in Penang.

Cute button chrysanthemum.

I love the style of hand bouquet in HongKong, just simple and elegance. These are my favorite hand bouquets, which wrapped in brown color. Its give me a lot of inspiration of my recent design.

Some cute flower arrangement in box, which are not so popular yet in Malaysia.

Aw.... these butterfly orchids are real, and nicely arranged. Wish I could have these all in my garden.

Bird's Market
