Gathering - Yam Zhou Cha 1

It has been a long time I never gather with my sisters. My sisters are not my real sister, they are my good friends during the secondary school. Now there are only 5 of us still in Penang State.
Mickey suggested to have breakfast this Sunday morning at Kota Permai. She wants to try the Kota Permai's tim sum. All of us never try it before, hope it taste good. I like to have ha kau, siu mai, fish ball, siu long pao and chee cheong fun. Hm... I am looking forward for this Sunday morning. Mickey, don't give birth until we finish yam zhou cha ok? LOL!
This make me think of Wen Yuan, the restaurant was our usual place for yam zhou cha during the school time. Mickey and YongYong usually be the treasury while the rest of us only need to pay and concentrate in eating and chit-chating. Oh ya! Choong En always wants to leave earlier, never know what's he rushing for. LOL!
Now, Wen Yuan had been closed down, and I do not know when all of us can be together yam zhou cha again, I mean 'Chai Chai Zheng Zheng'.

Birthday Gift

Tomorrow is my dear's birthday. I'd bought a birthday gift for him 2 weeks ago. I should have past it to him when he came back last week. But, I'm so tai tau har, I forgot bring it to airport. To make him surprise, I will show it to him tonight in msn. hehe! Although he cannot own it now, but at least he will know that he get something for his birthday! Someone is concern about him and remember his birthday without any reminder from facebook. I think he will feel happy.

A meaningful birthday gift is regardless how expenssive or how branded it is, yet it must be something the receiver most desire for. For me, the greatest gift is something i dream for a long time but would never get for myself. This shows that the person really care and understand for what i need.

Shoes

It's year end again, people tend to have many dinners and parties to be attended. Time to get some party shoes and clothes.

I seldom buy myself shoes that only can be worn for dinner or party, I would prefer something that looks elegance and classy but wouldn't be awkward for shopping or works. It's waste to buy shoes that can be worn for few times only. Some shoes are even have a chance to be worn for one time only, as it's hardly be matched with clothes. Although we can get black, beige or white shoes that easily to match, but wouldn't it be too bored? Sometimes we should get some other colors shoes, it would make your feet look great and make you look more lively!

I just got myself 3 pairs of wedges from Vincci last few days.

These indigo wedges are for dinners and parties, but look good for normal occassions too. I love the color, very unique.

Crystals stud on the shoe strap make your feet looks 'bling bling!' . Although it's only 2 inches high, but it won't make you look too casual. Highly recommended for shopping!

Purple wedges look good when match with black or dark purple clothes. The design of straps that cover to ankle is the most popular of the season. You may find a lot of these design in shoes stores. It matches well with skinny jeans.

Teenage girl

I have a cousin sister who is 12 years old now. She looks 80% like me when I was about her age. Of cos, she is much more talkative, active and socialistic compare to me (opsss.... although I extremely own these 3 characteristic too. LOL! ). These are the notable characteristic among the young teenagers. They dare to voice out what they want and they really know what they want. Maybe in someway, they are more dependent to their parents, but the relationship are more intimate.
12, it's the beginning of teenage. More sweet and bitter life ahead. It is the first golden 10 years for a girl. Through out these years, a little girl transforms into a lady, a bit by a bit. Influences from friends, teachers and family make what they become in future. Experiences during teenage affect a lot in adult's life, especially in marriage, career, lifestyle and mentality.
So, my lovely cousin sister, enjoy your golden 10 years ahead and Bon Voyage! Say goodbye to your childhood.

Supper

My uncle with my small cousin brother just arrive from KL. They are here to attend a wedding dinner tomorrow night of a relative. As usual, my pa will bring them out for supper and he has just invited me. OMG! i love to eat supper, as it's really a big seduction. He...em... I need to control myself. Don't want to regret after that. I already eat a lot for dinner just now.

However, I can't stop imagine what are they having now. Would it be the Char Kueh Tiao at Jalan Kulim, or maybe they'll go for Hokkien mee at pek kong tia? OMG! My stomach is making noise now. Talking about char kueh tiao, it's a common supper for BM people. There are 3 branches in BM by 3 brothers: Jalan Station, Jalan Kulim and Taxi Station. Business starts from about 9:30pm to 3:00am every night. They still use charcoal instead of gas stove, this make the heat distributes evenly. The most important thing is they add duck egg instead of chicken egg, it's a real traditional teochew char kueh tiao. hm... yummy yummy.... somone describes it as a lovely, deadly and delicious food....

I think better go for sleep now, if not I'll drool by imagining my supper. LOL!

What will be, will be

What's your dream when you were small? Would you want to be a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, a teacher, a flight stewardess or a super star?

When I was 5 years old, I wanted to become a doctor. This was due to my papa worked as a medical assistant in hospital. Too much influence from him. He helped a lot of people and many admired him. In fact, he is my idol until now.

When i was 10, I changed my ambition, I wanted to be an astronaut! Nothing special, I thought that's the highest ambition a human can have. I wanted to be a superwoman!

Well, when I was 16, again I changed my ambition, haha! I dreamed to own a fashion boutique. I started to read some fashion magazines. I won't miss the latest fashion of the season. I wanted to bring all the most beautiful and latest fashion to my customers. At that time, I was a shopping maniac! Any outdated clothe, shoe or bag would make me uncomfortable.

Finally when I grew up, i became a civil engineer. After a few years, i changed my job, I'm a florist now! That's a drastic change for me. But I love my job currently, it's so much fun that a civil engineer will never imagine. I always believe that people should always have a dream or ambition. Life is short. If time and situation allow, I wish to try and experience another career life, at least another one.Maybe I'll be a lawyer? What do you think? Must be tough and full of adventures, right? Or maybe I just be a housewife, take care of my husband and kids. Hm... that makes me think of a song, my mom taught me to sing when I was small:

When I was just a little girl

I asked my mother: "What will I be?

Will I be pretty?

Will I be rich?"

Here's what she said to me:

"Que sera, sera~~

Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours to see

Que sera, sera ~~

What will be, will be"

Fly back to SG

After 3 days came back to penang, my dear back to Sg for work again. He supposed to fly by SIA at 9:15pm last night, but due to some technical problems, the flight was cancelled after 3 hours he checked-in. That was predicted when my dear told me that they started to distribute food (McD, KFC & Pizza... not bad huh!).

The worse thing was my dear forgot to charge his handphone, the battery was low. We kept contact until the battery flat.

Luckily there were public phones, he called to inform me that SQ had arranged him to stay in Cititel for one night, and take the earliest flight back on the next day. It was 1:52am when he called. We talked for a while, then he went back to hotel. When he hung up the phone, I realised that I forgot to ask which room he stayed. Aiyo! How could I morning call him if he cannot wake up and how can I contact him if I miss him? Maybe it's only a night, but you know, that made me can't sleep well for the whole night! Who knows what time he would be arrived? ( The truth was the earliest flight delayed AGAIN, he reached SG at about 1pm) Gosh!!! As a result, I look like on smokey eyes makeup. Never been that fashionable! :P. Or, maybe people think that I just look like a panda today!

Well, as long as he is safely arrived in sg, I don't mind for smokey eyes or suffering for not enough sleep. Take care ya my dear! I'm looking forward for our next meeting again!
