Shanghai World Expo 2010 - Tunisia Pavilion

Tunisia Pavilion is another nice one to visit other than those with long queue. It doesn't look attractive from outside, but the contents are quite rich and interesting.

Shanghai World Expo 2010 - Peru Pavilion

Hubby and I went to visit a friend in Shanghai during the hari raya long weekend. We spend a day in world expo since we have free daily ticket. Due to time constraint, we decided not to visit those pavillions with long queue, like Saudi Arabia, Japan, Korea, Italy, England, German...ect.. Peru pavillion is one of my favorite.

We had our lunch at the pavillion. Peru's seafood rice and pork dish.

Peru local bear and cocktail.

Eat Pray Love

Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert is really hot among women in early thirties recently. I found that many of my friends read this book. From the title of the book, we know it is all about Eat(in Italy), Pray(on India) and Love(in Bali).

Frankly I have not finish the book yet. But there is a chapter she wrote about Depression and Loneliness that really touch the bottom of my heart. I know the sorrow she wrote about and it similarly happened to me a few years ago before I met my husband. In the chapter, she asked why she ruin her marriage, why she messed up things with her boyfriend, where she was the night she turn thirty and why things have gone sour since then, why she is not at home living in a nice house and raising nice children like any respectable woman her age should be, where she will end up in her old age if she keeps living this way.....

I was lucky that I did not face as much problem as she faced, and I was in my late twenties that time. I am glad that I have my dad and some friends who help me to get through these. I learn to appreciate things around me and I thank God who always stay with me and let me met with my husband (who brought me back to the happiness life that I think I deserve for). I am totally out of the sorrow now, and I look things differently since then.

I pray to God for those in suffering, please help them towards the path of sunshine.

Short weekend at Langkawi

Hubby brought me to Langkawi for a short weekend in July eventually. August would be the raining season in Langkawi.

We stayed in The Lanai Beach Resort, which is located at the end of Pantai Tengah. The resort is at a nice location, by a white clean beach and away from a busy stretch of restaurant. In the short stay in Langkawi, we spent most of our time sunbathing, swimming and doing nothing. Truthfully, I never experience such a rest and relax holiday in my life. I just gonna do it again soon.

Oh, of course hubby and I would never miss out any delicacies anywhere in the world. We tasted ikan bakar at Kuah, chinese seafood at Pantai Cenang, italian food in a warung operate by a foreigner and nasi kampung melayu in a malay restaurant near Lanai Resort. All the food tasted above average and the price was fair.

No honeymoon yet

Due to several reasons, initially hubby and I planned to have our honeymoon in September. It's six months after our wedding. Our honeymoon target is Santorini in Greece, one of a very famous place for honeymoon. But now, it seems like our plan has to prospone again to next year, cos hubby is dealling with some projects. He is now on is own company, so his time schedule is not as flexible as last time.
Well, sometimes we only have to choose between one, career or life. For now, we have no choice but to choose career first, by hopefully it will bring a greater life in the near future.

My garden wedding decoration at E&O Hotel, Penang

I remember the first time I went to E&O Hotel when I was 10, I had my 1st grade piano practical examination there. Although It was before the restoration and I was nervous of my exam on that time, but these didn't ignore me for admiring the beauty of the heritage. No doubt, It become more magnificient after the restoration. I have always been interested in vintage things, so I chose E&O hotel for my wedding.

I had my wedding vow at the Verandah Garden. Our garden decorations were fairy tale and vintage inspired. There were white calla lilies, white roses, white lisianthus, white orchids and green leaves every where.
The wedding cake was in white sugar paste, decorated with some fresh white lisianthus and orchids.

My bridesmaids each dressed in green skirt and holding a small posy of flower. Well, don't they looked like tinkle bells!

Bridegroom and best men were in simple white shirt and black suit. They were all so gorgeous!

For myself, I wore a self-design satin wedding gown, it was simple and elegant, thanks to Auntie May who made this for me. Inspired by the Greek goddess, my make-over artist, Anderson Chu set a messy side braid hairstyle for me. And I really like it so much!
